Awaken Discipleship Biblical Counseling Fundamentals Conference – Spring 2025

This ACBC approved 30-hours course in Biblical Counseling Fundamentals takes place over three weekends in March, April, and May.

New Life Community Church has collaborated with Awaken Discipleship and ACBC (Association of Certified Biblical Counselors) to offer a certified 30-hour course in biblical counseling fundamentals. Biblical counseling is restorative discipleship. This introductory course will educate men and women in practical theology and counseling methodology, which begins to equip a person to effectively come alongside individuals in need of compassionate biblical instruction through life’s ups and downs. The course can be taken to improve your discipleship skills and/or to begin the process of becoming a Certified Biblical Counselor with ACBC.

  • A 30-hour conference that takes place over three weekends (March 21-22, April 25-26, May 23-24).
  • Location: 221 Baker Ave. Concord, MA, 01742
  • We do not have a virtual option at this time.
  • For those pursuing ACBC Certification, this course fulfills the conference portion of Phase One.
  • Standard of course completion: Ideally, we hope to see you at all three weekends.
  • Minimally, in-person attendance is required for at least two of the three weekends.
  • If classes are missed, contact Pastor James to request the recorded audio.
  • If more than one weekend (10 hours) is missed, this situation will be handled on a case-by-case basis by Pastor James in the hope of satisfactory completion of the course.
  • For those pursuing ACBC Certification: Awaken takes the process seriously, and we do not want you to be shortchanged. If a class or multiple classes are missed, we ask that you listen to the audio and write a brief summary (one paragraph but no more than one page) about the class. All summaries need to be emailed to Pastor James within one month of when the actual class took place in order to receive credit.
  • Registration for this event is required. This includes those who are not pursuing ACBC Certification.
  • Registration fee (Light dinner, lunch, and light refreshments are included)
  • Individual: $225
  • Registration Deadline is midnight, March 18.

  • Refund Policy: Registration fee less 10% until two weeks prior to the event; thereafter, refunds are not available.
